Load a game other than the one you want to edit a save for, and once the game is loaded, turn off the system. ![]() In order to edit a save file on the SD card and have it used by the game, we need to clear the hardware save data that is still loaded before we try to load our modified save file. It will also overwrite your modified save file with the original that is loaded in memory when you save the game. But, the save data of the most recently loaded game is still loaded on the hardware itself, and if you load that same game again, the everdrive will use the save data that is loaded, not what is stored in the save file. I just googled a save editor to try, and this one worked great: Īs near as I can tell, the save data is, in fact, backed up to the save file located in GBASYS/Save.
